From Idea to Impact: The Big Thinking Box Comes to Life at Shoal Bay Public School
There are moments when an idea becomes something more.
Something real.
Something you can see, feel, and experience.
This is one of those moments.
What began as a partnership between passionate organizations and forward-thinking leaders has officially come to life inside a real classroom. And the results are exactly why The Big Thinking Box was created in the first place.
A Partnership with Purpose
We are incredibly proud to see North St Partners sponsor the Primary Schools Award at the 2025 Career Links Young Business Mind Awards and donate The Big Thinking Box to an outstanding school for the 2026 year.
This wasn’t just about recognition. It was about opportunity.
An opportunity to take a powerful idea and place it directly into the hands of students who are ready to think differently, lead boldly, and explore what they’re capable of.
Celebrating Big Thinking
A huge congratulations goes to Layla from Shoal Bay Public School, whose winning project Eco Ninja captured the attention of judges with its creativity, purpose, and real-world problem solving.
This is exactly what big thinking looks like.
Not just learning information, but applying it.
Not just answering questions, but asking better ones.
Layla’s work is a reflection of what happens when students are encouraged to think beyond the expected and step into their own ideas.
A Moment That Matters
We also want to recognize our APAC partner, Andy Olrich, who had the honor of presenting the award at Shoal Bay Public School’s end-of-year assembly.
There is something powerful about being recognized in front of your peers.
It builds confidence.
It creates belief.
It tells students that their ideas matter.
And those are the kinds of moments that stick.
Bringing the Experience to Life
Now, The Big Thinking Box has officially arrived at Shoal Bay.
William the Brave Knight has stepped into the classroom, guiding students through an experience designed to build three essential skills:
Courage
Curiosity
Critical Thinking
Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and collaboration, students are not just participating, they are engaging, questioning, and leading.
This is where learning shifts.
From passive to active.
From memorizing to discovering.
From hesitation to confidence.
Strengthening STEM Through Thinking
The Big Thinking Box is not designed to replace STEM education.
It is designed to strengthen it.
Because the future doesn’t just need students who know the answers.
It needs students who can think deeply, adapt quickly, and approach problems with confidence.
By focusing on how students think, not just what they learn, we help build skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
See It in Action
The energy, the collaboration, the ideas… it all comes to life when students step into the experience.

Looking Ahead
To everyone who helped make this possible, thank you.
Your support is not just impacting one school.
It is helping shape a generation of thinkers, leaders, and problem-solvers.
And this is just the beginning.
If you’re curious about how The Big Thinking Box works in real schools or how your organization can get involved, we would love to connect.
Because many brave hearts will save the day.
